My name is Jeff Serowik. I have loved, played, studied and coached hockey my entire life. I was drafted while playing for a New England Prep School by the Toronto Maple Leafs. I received a D1 scholarship to HOCKEY EAST’s Providence College where I played for four years and earned a bachelor of science in Finance. I then went on to play ten years of professional hockey.

My career was cut short in 2000 when I suffered a career ending concussion with The Pittsburgh Penguins. This was a huge blow in many senses of the word as I bounced around mostly in the minors while logging few games with Toronto, Chicago, Florida and the Bruins before making the team in Pitt. I was awarded The Eddie Shore Award while playing for the Providence Bruins and still hold the record there for the most goals from a defense-man. While this was all going on, during my off seasons beginning the summer after graduating from college and preparing for my first NHL camp with Toronto, I founded Pro Ambitions Hockey, Inc. A close friend and NHL super star agreed to come skate with the kids at the inception camp, Jeremy Roenick. I will never forget the kids faces when he stepped onto the ice. I am ever so grateful for his friendship and generosity to both me and youth players.

I was hooked. I was now a hockey coach. I have had the most incredible mentors and coaches throughout my youth, prep, college and professional career. I have also had many that were just plain horrible. I wanted to be one of the great ones. I looked forward to adding a location every summer throughout my pro career.

I began studying the game and writing curriculum’s. I developed my own brand and niche in the hockey development industry. THE BATTLE CAMP, training in small area battles incorporating a skill, skating and game situational battle in every drill. After my injury I decided to take much of my wife and my life’s savings and scale the company. I trademarked my curriculum’s, I invested in technology, locations, training and hiring the best coaches, sports nutritionists and psychologists and strength coaches.

I believe I have set the bar in youth sports development. I am still studying, learning, creating, evolving. I am proud to be the leader in the industry and the largest camp in the world. I am proud of my staff. I am proud to train kids with unbiased sets of eyes. We are here to help. We have no agenda but to deliver what I call and have written about in many publications called “ The Summer Hockey Growth Spurt.”

Thank you for trusting your son’s and daughter with us, as always we are pushing the bar and on the tipping point of what is next in developing youth athletes. In closing I want to note that every kid’s bar is different. Although many of our campers have gone on to play for D1, D3, and Ivy League colleges, then onto the NHL….many want to make the high school team.
