Pro Ambitions, the leading development camp in the world utilizes the leader in goaltending development Mike Buckley and his staff. Mike Buckley is the goaltending development coach of the 2016 Stanley Cup winning Pittsburgh Penguins. Mike and his team of goalie coaches are the nation’s top goalie development coaches. In the last three seasons they have developed 16 Division 1 goaltenders alone, unparalleled success.
Goaltenders will be working directly with Mike Buckley’s goalie coaches at all Pro Ambitions camps. Mike Buckley’s curriculum is second to none, and much like Jeff’s battle curriculum, it is often imitated, but never duplicated. Mike Buckley developed BPS (Buckley Positional System) which has become the standard for USA hockey’s goaltending development model. The success of this system speaks for itself.
Starting the summer of 2017, each goaltender will receive video instruction from coach Buckley and his team. The video reviews each days subjects and is viewable at any time. Students also receive goalie specific off ice training and mental training developed by Mike Buckley, SJ Graupensberger and Mind of Seal mental training expert TC Cummings.

Since joining the Pittsburgh Organizations, the Wilkes-Barre Penguins have finished with the lowest goals against twice in the last three seasons. Two goalies, Jeff Zatkoff (2014) and Matt Murray (2015) were selected as AHL All-Stars and Matt Murray was named AHL goalie of the year and Rookie of the year. In 2016, rookie Matt Murray helped the Pittsburgh Penguins capture their 4th Stanley Cup.
UNIQUE GOALIE TRAINING AT PRO AMBITIONS CAMPS
Mike Buckley teamed up with Jeff Serowik ten years ago in training the youth of the nation. Mike has developed his own system for training goalies. He calls it BPS, Buckley Positional System. It is a more scientific approach to learning the angles of goaltending. They will have lots of shots on net to practice what they are taught by their coaches from the forwards and defensemen that are engaging in the battle camp curriculum. This is an important facet of their learning.
