- How did this concept of bringing the youth of The Nation to Europe to train with the top youth European hockey coaches?
Serowik has been training the youth of America and Europe with European partners across Europe for over a decade. This past summer when we brought six of our youth American Pro Ambitions teams to Prague, it became clear that the Europeans train their hockey players differently. Much more emphasis on technique, systems. Our Pro Ambitions teams battled and competed at a high level, we faired about at 500 winning 50-60 percent of our games. Our European GM Bob O’Connell did a great job building our teams of individuals American kids from across The Nation. I am proud of them. We faced some very steep competition. Our 06 West Coast Team brought home hardware. They won silver and one of their players earned MVP of the tournament.
There were two teams that stuck out to all of us in Prague last summer. To both coaches players and parents. The 2003 Russian team coached by Dmitry Teplyakov and 2005 Czech Team coached by Jiri Feccman. These teams beat us 20-3 and 10-1. We beat teams from The Czech Republic, Russia, Sweden, Canada and more. But these two games and coaches stuck out to Serowik and most who saw the games in particular. They came as a five man unit on us like Spartans perfectly in sync. They were well coached, organized, with precise passing and breakouts. He watched what they were doing as a team prior to the games to warm up both on and off the ice. Intently interested in their exercises for body contact and balance. Since we have left Prague. Serowik has talked to both coaches and hired them to train our American Pro Ambitions campers. The hockey and training is different in Europe. Playing against the youth of Europe has changed the American youth players we brought to Prague last summer and training with their coaches will add another facet to youth development for American players. Renowned youth Swedish Coach Daniel Broberg is said to be one of the best youth hockey developers in Sweden specializing in skating. We got him too. Coach Phil Bushbacher has been with us for over a decade. Phil is currently playing professional hockey in France. He specializes in off ice training and skating in particular. Serowik sent his daughter, a field hockey player, to train with World Camp Field Hockey in The Netherlands also last summer. This camp was led by Dutch Field Hockey Harvard Coach and his assistants along with Dutch Coaches and European experts. He saw the training that his daughter received in Europe, the experience for our players in Prague and realized how important these athletic and cultural experiences are enriching for youth American athletes and make them better hockey players. We are proud to offer this intense week of training in three countries in 2019. April in Italy, July in Sweden, and August in Prague. We will face off again at The Czech Challenge again in Prague in 2019. We begin building our teams in September as we did last year for The Czech Challenge Cup.
- Can my child attend alone?
No each child must bring at least one parent or guardian but we welcome as many family members as you wish to join us. Most families who traveled with us to Prague for the Czech Challenge Cup brought the entire family.
- What is the schedule for the hockey training?
We train four hours per day on the ice. 2 two hour ice sessions morning and afternoon or evening.
- How far is the rink from the hotel and how do we get to the rink?
The rink is half hour drive and we have coach buses and tour guides.

Transfers in a coach bus to and from rink and excursions for players and parents. Special Bauer European Camp Custom jersey, hat and zip up jacket and tee. Welcome dinner, Gala departure Dinner, lunch in the city. Daily sightseeing excursions. Plenty of time on your own to explore the city and dinners out with family. We will meet at the hotel on Sunday. There will be a special Pro Ambitions Representative waiting for you with a table set up in the lobby.
- How do I begin this process for both European Training and The Czech Challenge Cup?
By signing up today. We filled our teams by Christmas last year. We ended up adding more teams to accommodate all of the AAA players who were interested. You may email our European GM, Bob O’Connell TODAY at Bob@proambitions.com. He will answer all of your questions from departure to arrival home back to the USA. He will come watch your child play or you may send in a game tape if you are interested in playing for one of our teams. Many of you who may have not been quite ready last year, will be this year! I am going to bet on it. We saw most of you this summer and are proud of your hard work and know you earned your summer hockey growth spurt.
